Dr. Arman Notghi
Dr. Arman Notghi is the founder and Managing Director of the Dr. Notghi Contract Research Organisation for the Clinical Research and IT Consultancy. Before establishing the Dr. Notghi CRO in 1999, he worked as a consultant at Schering AG, Berlin, Germany, where he has been working on the implementation of data management systems, database design and training of the personnel.
He has also held a previous position at Parexel, the international Contract Research Organisation, as Clinical Research Associate and Consultant, for three years. He has experience in conducting clinical trials according to FDA and GCP/ICH guidelines in a range of indications such as: AIDS, oncology, cardiovascular disease, and dermatology. His responsibilities at Parexel included co-ordination and monitoring of studies, preparation of protocols, case report forms, and patient information, and providing training on computer software.He has also worked at the Regulatory Affairs (Diagnostics) department of Abbott GmbH, Wiesbaden, Germany, preparing clinical data for submission, and later at Fa. Bionativ, Wiesbaden, as Marketing Manager for OTC products.
He has also held research positions at the Institute of Legal Medicine in Mainz, Germany, and has worked as a Post Doctoral Research Scientist in the Sonderforschungsbereich (SFB). He has 8 years of experience in basic research organising and conducting various research projects on chronic hepatitis C and B, HBs-vaccine, PBC, and HIV infection. His responsibilities included determination of MHC and Complement polymorphism in the study populations; supervision of post-graduate medical and biology students. He has also written statistical programmes for assessment of the clinical data.
He has published a number of publications in peer reviewed journals and has given numerous presentations and seminars and symposiums on many topics.
